This paper explores the role played by the instructor's culture in determining the type and form of feedback in an ESL classroom. Through analyzing recorded lectures and interviews, the teaching practices of native and non-native teachers of English were compared and have resulted in recognizing the best feedback linguistic forms.
I am Ghufraan A. Shiltagh, a lecturer at the University of Baghdad. I have a Ph.D. in socio-pragmatics and applied linguistics. My main interest is cultural aspects in religious discourse.
