This study offers findings from an analysis of Qatari English-language school texts highlighting the needs of ELLs in content-area classes. Recent Qatari Education Reform aims to simultaneously develop students’ first-language knowledge and second-language content-area literacy. While focused on one country, this research suggests approaches to studying support for ELL internationally.
