Reflective Practice in the ESL Classroom

Modern language education currently favours the model of a reflective teacher-researcher. The paper focuses on the place and role classroom research and reflective practice play in EFL/ESL pedagogy and teacher professional development. The theoretical introduction is followed by research findings on reflective inquiry in the Sri Lankan ESL context.
