The speaker will discuss the role that data, analytics and 'adaptive' learning can play as part of teacher-‐delivered English language programmes. He recognises a number of issues in terms of privacy, linearity of programme design, teacher role, and the potential limitations of some of the evolving product models.

The speaker questions what views of student achievement data tracking of blended learning can deliver, and considers how programme models might evolve as data management becomes central to how we organise and deliver ELT.
The speaker will offer some practical considerations regarding the implementation of data-‐managed programmes.
